Satan wants you to believe that Goddoesn’t want you to eat of The Tree of Knowledgebecause, then, you would be wise. When you doeat, he says that you will be as a god knowing good“from evil” (Genesis 3:5). Satan told Eve that sheshould have the option to decide for herself. Thenshe would be “a god,” herself.Why was Satan so intent for you to believe in more than oneGod? Satan, himself, wasn’t satisfied to be just an “angel” oreven a very high-ranking angel. He is the one who wanted to bethe begotten Son of God - instead of Jesus. As a consequence,Satan was opposed to God’s plan of salvation for all mankind.He was jealous.From that time to the present, Satan has been busy deceiving humanityinto making many gods. He instituted the worship of thecreation itself, such as the sun, moon, trees, oceans and rivers- so that everyone would believe in more than “one” God.
