A“shadow” in Greek is “skia,” a “shade” or “darkness.” The newmoons, Holy Days and Sabbaths are only shadows - not the realthing. It is like looking at a person’s image on a wall that is onlya shadow cast by a light.Keeping the legal requirements of these days never makes a personlike Christ. They would only be “a shadow” of what Christis. For Christians, these days and offerings are already fulfilledin Christ - and no longer apply to them as “a prophecy.” TheseHoly Days, Sabbaths and new moons are only shadows of thingsto come.Shadows Of Things To ComeHere are other aspects for you to consider. This concerns theweekly Sabbath and The Passover:1 The Seventh Day is a shadow of The Sabbath rest inChrist (Hebrews 4:9-11). Since Christ is “in you,”which is the mystery, then you are already in God’srest and have ceased from doing your own works ofrighteousness.2 The Passover, the slain Lamb with blood on thedoorpost, is Christ who is already your Passover (ICorinthians 5:7). This has been fulfilled.Now, Christians take the wine as representing Christ’s blood. They,also, take the bread which represents Jesus’ body. This is done toshow they are now married to Christ, as His Bride. That is whyHe died for His Bride, “the church,” in order to show that Heloved her.
