186 God’s WorkA person must always have a mind of repentance, in order togrow spiritually. If you don’t feed your mind, it will die.Now, back to the beginning of the story about the eunuch, “ 26 Andthe angel of the Lord spake unto Philip… 27 And he arose andwent: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authorityunder Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had thecharge of all her treasure [perhaps a Chief Financial Officer]and had come to Jerusalem for to worship.” Up to this point,the eunuch knew the place to worship was at the temple in Jerusalem.He had the knowledge about Israel - which was generallywhat The Jews knew. He (the eunuch), “ 28 Was returning, andsitting in his chariot [and] read Esaias the prophet. 29 Thenthe spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to thischariot.”Philip surely had to run fast. How fast was that chariot going?The eunuch was reading, so he may have not been going too fastor it would have been too bumpy. “ 30 And Philip ran thither tohim, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandestthou what thou readest?” This could be compared toa Bible-study workshop as the eunuch asked Philip to answer aquestion, “ 31 And he said, How can I, except some man shouldguide me?
