For Christians, the particular day,seventh or otherwise, doesn’t matter.Plainly, you find that Paul states how, if you rest in Christ, it isthe same as when God rested in The Garden of Eden (Verse 10).God’s “work” was completed on The Seventh Day. All Adam andEve had to do was eat of The Tree of Life. But they did not dothis. Adam and Eve could have remained in God’s Seventh Dayrest just as Christians do, today, with God’s Holy Spirit. Again,this is ongoing, as a daily affair. Paul gives you an additionalinsight. This concerns God’s rest being a promise and until itbecomes a reality, as Christians, you should not cease from restingin Christ, right to the very end (Hebrews 4:1). Paul declaredin Hebrews 4:10 that Christians must cease from their own humanworks every day of their lives and totally rest in Christ. Whichday is The Sabbath for Christians? There is no specific day -whether the seventh or any other day. The original Seventh DaySabbath (God’s rest) was only a shadow (or type) of a Christianresting each and every day of their life in Christ.As Paul said, “today” (every day) in a Christian’s life is a restfrom human works. This includes totally relying on Christ by thepower of God’s Holy Spirit “in you” (Hebrews 3:13). As Christians,every human need in your lives should be left to Christ - infaith. What you eat or wear or any concern you may have foryour own safety, does not matter. This is because you are at restin Christ. By resting in Christ, God makes you Holy by His HolySpirit. The Sabbath sign depicts you becoming Holy as God isHoly.
