So it could be said that, “Stripes equals theamount of time served” or “penalty paid.” What could be a betterslogan for this occasion?Then consider that Jesus plainly stated how the stripes were toapply to those individuals who are placed into The Lake of Fire(Luke 12:49), “I am come to send fire on the earth; and whatwill I if it be already kindled?” These are fearful words.
