378 God’s Workyou must ask, “How does Christ decide who goes into the fire?”These are questions that cause one to wonder what it is that bringsthese people to repentance. And, what happens to them in TheKingdom of God? That situation needs to be addressed in order tofacilitate a full Christian understanding of these vital topics.Who Goes Into Hell?In The Bible, there are three types of “hell.” The three Greekwords for “hell” are: “hades,” “tartaroo” and “Gehenna.” TheGreek meaning for each is different. “Hell” in the Greek is “hades”and in the Hebrew it is “sheol.” The first meaning of “hell”is “the grave.” Farmers of old were accustomed to burying theirpotatoes in “hell” for the winter. Obviously, they mean “in theground” and not “in a burning subterranean cavern.” But thisexample illustrates a fairly recent understanding of what is meantby the term “hell.” The second meaning for “hell” is “tartaroo”- which is a “place of restraint for Satan and his demons.” This iswhen these nefarious ones are placed in “tartaroo” for The Millennium.This is the time period when Satan is no longer permittedto deceive the nations. This will be after Christ returns to rule theearth. The third name for “hell” is “gehenna” which is “a burninggarbage dump.” It is located just outside The City of Jerusalemin The Valley of Gehenna (called “hell”). This is where thecity burned its refuse. In biblical times, the bodies of the worstcriminals were merely thrown onto the garbage heap in Gehennato allow decomposition. When Christ returns, this place is wherethe beast and false prophet are cast at the start of The Millennium.However, The Lake of Fire is different.Lake Of FireIsaiah 30:33 prophesies that in “Tophet - The Refuse Dump” or
