Christ asked if it is lawful on TheSabbath (Sabbaton) to do good. Then He proceeded to restorea man’s crippled hand (Verse 9). Of course, those in attendancewho believed they must still keep The Letter of The Law, consequently,went mad (Luke 6:11).Jesus said the same thing in Matthew 12:10-14 where He gavethe example of doing very hard work on The Sabbath by pullinga sheep from a pit. He concluded His presentation and then saidthat a man is worth more than a sheep. Therefore, it is lawful todo well on The Sabbath.How does a Christian keep The Sabbath? It is done just like Christ- by doing “good works” - even if it takes toil or work. Youshould feed the hungry when they need food. You should helpthe sick when they are ill.You can always help the orphans and widows if it happens to beThe Sabbath - or any day of the week for that matter. Christians,the real Sabbatarians, keep The Sabbath daily, while it is still“today.” How? By “doing good works every day.” You work(“ergozomai”) just as Christ and The Father.
