208 God’s Workdown to the wedding party to meet your bride, what kind of virginwould you marry? Christ doesn’t marry a bride who does notlove him. To me, that is bizarre. It has a sense of humor aboutit. The wise virgins love Jesus because they have been spirituallygrowing in God’s “goodness.” It is because of Christ’s “love” foryou and what He “IS” that The Bride has made herself ready. TheBride now loves Christ with an “agàpè” love - just as He lovesher in the same way. Remember, He told the five unwise virginsthat “He never knew them.” They were too busy being religious- not growing spiritually and not in love with their God. Thatcomes with complete “repentance.” You may have started outwanting a sugar daddy. You must strip away the baloney. Youwant somebody who’s rich? You want someone who’s prosperous?You want somebody who can take care of you - keep yousafe? That is called “repentance - Stage One.” Christ is notmarrying any one who wants to marry him for money. That maysound funny. But in reality, isn’t that where it starts? When youfirst repented, you were worried that, as a sinner, you were goingto die. You wanted to be saved or live forever. But, you can’thave it that way.You are only going to make it if you come to love God as He lovesyou and you love your neighbor as you love yourself. THAT’SCALLED REPENTANCE - REAL REPENTANCE.
