Paul pleaded for them not to cause a split inthe churches. The Gnostics believed inthe mystic system (The Babylonian Mysteries) in attempting toget salvation. The Antinomians believed grace meant you couldsin all you wanted. Between these two influences, many werelured and fell away from The True Gospel.Christians were warned to earnestly contend for the faith whichwas once delivered to them (Jude 3).
