Paul defines this spiritualresurrection (Harvest):For this corruptible [body and flesh] must puton incorruption, and this mortal must put onimmortality (I Corinthians 15:53).This is an instantaneous change for these people. It is just likethose who are alive at Christ’s second coming. Paul continueswith the revealed order of those who are saved, by stating thefollowing:So when this corruptible shall have put onincorruption, and this mortal shall have put onimmortality… (I Corinthians 15:54, 1 st part).This is an instant body-to-spirit process. In the “twinkling of aneye” (Verse 52) a change to a spiritual body occurs. This mortal(dying) body puts on immortality (eternal body) at that time anddeath is swallowed up in victory:Then shall be brought to pass the saying thatis written, Death is swallowed up in victory (ICorinthians 15:54 2 nd part).When is this? It is not The First Resurrection in Verse 52 but whenChrist puts down the last enemy - death. No one is dead any longer.Now Paul’s glorious summation of this entire account:55O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where isthy victory? 56 The sting of death is sin; and thestrength of sin is the law (I Corinthians 15:55-56).
