Professional Recognition<br />

This degree meets the requirements for membership of the Institution of Engineers, Australia and of the<br />

Institution of Radio and Electronics Engineers.<br />

The alternative award name, Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical), meets the requirements for membership<br />

of the Singapore Professional Engineers Board.<br />

Note: Continuing students should refer to their course summary sheets or contact the School of Electrical<br />

and Electronic Systems Engineering for enrolment details.<br />

Special Course Requirements<br />

A candidate for the degree of Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Computer Engineering) must<br />

obtain at least 60 days of industrial employment in an engineering environment approved by the Course<br />

Coordinator.<br />

Candidates must, not later than the fourth week of semester following each period of industrial employment,<br />

submit to the Faculty Office a report in the required format, describing the work carried out during the<br />

period of employment and including an Industrial Experience Record Form signed by the employer. Industrial<br />

Experience Record Forms are available from outside the Faculty Office, Room 1006, ITE Building, Gardens<br />

Point campus.<br />

Students should not formally enrol in industrial experience.<br />
