This degree is recognised for the purpose of membership of the Institution of Engineers, Australia.
Special Course Requirements
A candidate for the degree of Bachelor of Engineering must obtain at least 60 days of industrial employment
in an engineering environment approved by the Course Coordinator.
Candidates must, not later than the fourth week of semester immediately following each period of industrial
experience, submit to the Faculty Office, a report in the required format, describing the work carried out
during the period of experience and including an Industrial Experience Record Form signed by the employer.
Industrial Experience Record Forms are available from outside the Faculty Office, Room 1006, ITE Building,
Gardens Point campus.
Students should not formally enrol in industrial employment.
