At this stage students are able to follow cases through to observe
the short-term effect of therapy and are expected to commence
case studies to develop comparative and recording
skills. Students should now be adopting the standard medical
terminology and abbreviations used in clinical situations.
and significance of common conditions affecting the lower
limbs, e.g. oedema; obesity; motor, sensory and trophic disturbances
and their resultant effects in paralysis, ataxia, deformity
