(a) Independent Study, Advanced Seminars and Advanced Research Unit may be taken as part of an alternate<br />

pathway. Students should contact the Course Coordinator for further information about these units.<br />

(b) One advanced level unit may also be selected as an elective from any Faculty within the University,<br />

subject to approval by the Course Coordinator.<br />

(c) Those students capable of doing a larger component of research based on their GPA may consider<br />

transferring to the Master of Education (Research) course at any stage of their enrolment in the Master<br />

of Education course, in consultation with the Course Coordinator.<br />

(d) Students enrolled in the Master of Education may take up to one unit from a relevant Graduate Diploma<br />

under the following conditions:<br />

The units are approved by the Course Coordinator of the Master of Education;<br />

The students undergo an extension of unit requirements at the Masters level as approved by the<br />

Course Coordinator;<br />

Students have not done a unit in the same area in another course.
