Research and Legal Reasoning: An annual prize<br />

awarded to the student with the best performance<br />

Rod Grant Memorial Prize<br />

An annual prize to perpetuate the memory of Rod<br />

Grant, awarded under a trust by Thynne and<br />

Macartney to the Legal Practice Course student who<br />

produces the most practical/professional answer to<br />

a legal problem set by an independent panel of<br />

practitioners.<br />

The Maritime Law Association of Australia and<br />

New Zealand Ltd Prize<br />

Maritime Law: An annual prize awarded to the<br />

student who achieves the highest overall grade point<br />

average in the elective unit LWB487 Maritime Law.<br />

Una Prentice Memorial Prize<br />

An annual prize awarded under a trust by the Women<br />

Lawyers’ Association of Queensland to the woman<br />

student with the highest average marks in Law units<br />

studied for the LLB degree.<br />

(Queensland) Prize<br />

Fundamentals of Public International Law: An<br />

annual prize and one year’s complimentary<br />

membership of the Queensland Division of the<br />

Awarded to the student who achieves the highest<br />

mark in Clinical Practice units in the first year of<br />

the Master of Applied Science – Medical Ultrasound<br />

major.<br />

AGEN Prize<br />

Donated by AGEN Biomedical Ltd for the best<br />

overall academic performance in the Medical<br />

Biotechnology units of the Bachelor of Applied<br />

Science (Biotechnology).<br />

AGFA-Gevaert and Australian Institute of<br />

Radiography Prize<br />

Awarded to the student obtaining the highest marks<br />

in the first-year unit PHB275 Processing Technology<br />

of the Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical<br />

Imaging Technology).<br />

Alphapharm Pty Ltd Prizes<br />

Awarded annually to the first and second year<br />

students of the Bachelor of Applied Science<br />

(Applied Chemistry) course or the multidisciplinary<br />

Bachelor of Applied Science with major studies in<br />

Chemistry, who in the opinion of the Head of<br />

School of Chemistry shows at the first attempt the<br />

greatest overall proficiency in that year of the above<br />

courses. Alphapharm may also make vacation<br />

employment available to the prize winners.<br />

Astra Panels Masters Bursary in Chemistry<br />

Awarded to the student undertaking a full-time<br />

Masters degree program who has the highest gradepoint<br />

average from his or her degree.<br />

Australian Institute of Radiography Prize<br />

Awarded to the student achieving the best academic<br />

record in the first year of the Bachelor of Applied<br />

Science (Radiotherapy Technology) course.<br />

L.G. Amos Prize<br />

Awarded each year to the graduand from the<br />

multidisciplinary Bachelor of Applied Science with<br />

major studies in Chemistry who, in the opinion of<br />

the Head of the School of Chemistry, obtains the<br />

best academic record over the length of the course.
