Each project is carried out under the supervision of a staff<br />

member whose interests lie in the field of the project. Before<br />

work commences on the project, the student(s) and supervisor<br />

must agree on the topic and the scope of the work to be<br />

attempted. this unit is offered over two semesters.<br />

■ ITB904 INDUSTRIAL TRAINING EXPERIENCE<br />

Consists of a one-year work experience program. For more<br />

information about this program, refer to the Cooperative Education<br />

■ ITN100 RESEARCH METHODOLOGIES<br />

Provides a basis for students to undertake a research project<br />

in the Honours and Masters programs. Examines the nature<br />

of information technology and the specific research approaches<br />

which are commonly applicable to it. Students will learn how<br />

to review literature relevant to their research and how to select<br />

the research method most appropriate to their project.<br />

Provides the foundation skills required in research: critical<br />

reviewing, analysis and writing.<br />

proposal via a seminar to other students and academic staff.<br />
