Each project is carried out under the supervision of a staff
member whose interests lie in the field of the project. Before
work commences on the project, the student(s) and supervisor
must agree on the topic and the scope of the work to be
attempted. this unit is offered over two semesters.

■ ITN100 RESEARCH METHODOLOGIES
Provides a basis for students to undertake a research project
in the Honours and Masters programs. Examines the nature
of information technology and the specific research approaches
which are commonly applicable to it. Students will learn how
to review literature relevant to their research and how to select
the research method most appropriate to their project.
Provides the foundation skills required in research: critical
reviewing, analysis and writing.
