STUDIES 1<br />

Current theory and practice in LOTE teaching/learning in the<br />

the need for teaching approaches drawn from general educational<br />

theory together with an understanding of second language<br />

acquisition.<br />

Continuation of LAP409. Content, processes and materials<br />

articulate with the rest of the primary curriculum, and<br />

in which learners become more interested in, and aware of,<br />

languages and cultures other than their own.<br />

The role of language in society; how language changes according<br />

program, including school experience (three weeks).<br />

History of Australian children’s books to 1959; development<br />

An individually designed unit which allows students, under<br />

the staff supervision, to increase their knowledge relevant to<br />
