Diploma awards<br />

Upon entry to these awards, students will normally gain credit on the basis of the following:<br />

(i) associate diploma – 144 credit points (3.0 semesters).<br />

Bachelor degree awards<br />

Upon entry to these awards, students will normally gain credit on the basis of the following:<br />

(i) associate diploma – 96 credit points (2.0 semesters), or<br />

(ii) diploma – 192 credit points (4.0 semesters).<br />

Graduate diploma awards<br />

Upon entry to these awards, students will normally gain credit on the basis of the following:<br />

(i) graduate certificate – 48 credit points (1.0 semester).<br />

Two-year Masters degree awards<br />

Upon entry to these awards, students will normally gain credit on the basis of the following:<br />

(i) four-year Bachelor degree at Honours standard - 96 credit points (2.0 semesters), or<br />

(ii) Honours – 96 credit points (2.0 semesters), or<br />

(iii)graduate certificate – 48 credit points (1.0 semester) or<br />

(iv) graduate diploma – 96 credit points (2.0 semesters).<br />

Professional doctorate awards<br />

Upon entry to these awards, students will normally gain credit on the basis of the following:<br />

(i) Masters degree – 48 credit points (1.0 semester).<br />

Doctor of Philosophy awards<br />

Upon entry to these awards, students will normally gain credit on the basis of the following:<br />

(i) Masters degree – 48 credit points (1.0 semester).<br />

Specific articulation and credit transfer arrangements between levels of awards in related fields on the<br />

basis of incomplete studies will normally be as follows:<br />

Masters degree awards<br />

Students admitted to a doctoral research award or a professional doctorate award but who either do not<br />

qualify to progress to the award or do not wish to proceed may on application be transferred to a Masters<br />

degree award.<br />

Graduate diploma awards<br />

In specifically designed Masters/graduate diploma awards, students may be granted a graduate diploma<br />

on the basis of the following:<br />

(i) Masters degree by coursework – satisfactory completion of at least 96 credit points (2.0 semesters)<br />

if they either do not qualify or do not wish to proceed to the higher level award.<br />

Graduate certificate<br />

In specificaly designed Masters/graduate diploma awards, students may be granted a graduate certificate<br />

on the basis of satisfactory completion of at least 48 credit points (1.0 semester) of units which constitute<br />

an approved graduate certificate program.<br />
