Australian Association of National Advertisers<br />

Prize<br />

Awarded to a graduand of the Bachelor of Business<br />

(Communication) specialising in Advertising who<br />

attains the most meritorious overall results in the<br />

to the second-year student with the best overall<br />

performance in the Bachelor of Business (Human<br />

Resource Management) course<br />

to the graduating student with the best overall<br />

Australian Institute of Management Prizes<br />

Awarded:<br />

to the Bachelor of Business (Management) student<br />

for high achievement on completion of units<br />

which comprise the first full-time year of the<br />

Bachelor of Business<br />

to the Bachelor of Business (Management) student<br />

for consistently high achievement on completion<br />

of units which comprise the second full-time year<br />

of the Bachelor of Business.<br />

Australian Society of Certified Practising<br />

Accountants Prizes<br />

To qualify, a student must be studying the<br />

Bachelor of Business course majoring in<br />

Accountancy or Banking and Finance full-time<br />

for the first time. The student must pass at least<br />

eight units in the first year of enrolment including<br />

BSB110 Accounting, AYB121 Financial<br />

Accounting, and AYB120 Business Law. The<br />

student with the best grade point average over the<br />

eight units is the recipient of the prize<br />

To qualify, a student must have studied<br />

Accountancy full-time over the previous two years<br />

and have completed at least 16 units. The secondyear<br />

student with the greatest grade point average<br />

over the best eight units studied in the second year<br />

of enrolment is the recipient of the prize<br />

Awarded to the full-time graduating student in the<br />

Bachelor of Business course majoring in<br />

Accountancy or Banking and Finance, who<br />

completes the course in minimum time, who is<br />

eligible for membership of the Australian Society<br />

of Certified Practising Accountants and who has<br />

the best grade point average.<br />

Australian Stock Exchange Prize<br />

Awarded to the student/s undertaking COB316<br />

Government and Financial Relations for the highest<br />

award in the financial relations program.<br />

Brisbane Commercial Radio Stations Prize<br />

In conjunction with the Faculty of Arts, this prize is<br />

donated by the Federation of Australian Radio<br />

Broadcasters and awarded to the Bachelor of<br />

Business (Journalism) or Bachelor of Arts<br />

(Journalism) graduand who achieves the best overall<br />

results in radio broadcasting units.<br />

BTQ Channel 7 Scholarship*<br />

In conjunction with the Faculty of Arts this prize is<br />

awarded to a student specialising in the<br />

communication or media fields – advertising, film<br />

and television production, journalism, media studies,<br />

organisational communication or public relations.<br />

Students must have completed second year full-time<br />

(or its equivalent), be undertaking a major in one of<br />

the communication or media areas and have enrolled<br />

to study third year full-time at <strong>QUT</strong>.<br />

Butterworths Book Prizes<br />

Awarded:<br />

to the student who achieves the best academic<br />

result in the unit EFB310 Financial Institutions –<br />

Control<br />

to the student who achieves the best academic<br />

result in the unit AYB311 Financial Accounting<br />

Theory<br />

to the student who achieves the best academic<br />

Castlemaine Perkins Bursary*<br />

Awarded to a second-year Bachelor of Business<br />

student specialising in advertising, marketing, or<br />

public relations on the basis of academic merit and<br />
