Damit die Welt mobil bleibt, vollbringen Hafenarbeiter in
Bremerhaven ein logistisches Meisterwerk: Auf einem der
größten Autoterminals Europas fahren sie rund um die Uhr
alle 20 Sekunden einen Neuwagen für den Export auf
ein Schiff oder für den Import an Land. Und dazwischen
bewegen die Fachleute auch noch Tausende von Spezialfahrzeugen,
Baggern, Kränen und sogar Hubschrauber.
Jeder andere als Fabian Goiny würde aus dem Staunen über
das Angebot an Neuwagen nicht herauskommen, das ihm
jeden Morgen auf dem Weg zur Arbeit ins Auge sticht.
Buchstäblich reihenweise stehen die Fahrzeuge in riesigen
Parkhäusern oder auf Freiflächen im Bremerhavener Über-

Anyone other than 36-year old Fabian Goiny would rub their
eyes for joy at the masses of new cars coming into view every
morning on the way to work. The vehicles stand row upon
row in huge multi-storey car parks or on the outdoor facilities
in Bremerhaven’s Überseehafen. “You’ll find practically every
single model made by German manufacturers here, to -

Hersteller, dazu viele führende Marken aus Fernost, jede
Menge Sonderanfertigungen, Spezialfahrzeuge und sogar
Oldtimer oder Autos, die erst in einem halben Jahr in den
Handel kommen“, sagt der 36-Jährige: „Und das in jeder
Farbe und Ausstattung und in Riesenmengen.“ Auch wenn
in jedem Wagen der Schlüssel steckt: „Reinsetzen und losfahren
lohnt sich nicht“, winkt Goiny ab, „denn man kommt
nicht weit.“ Die Fahrzeuge stehen schließlich auf dem am
besten bewachten Stellplatz Deutschlands: „Hier auf dem
Autoterminal in Bremerhaven stehen Milliardenwerte; und
da passen wir schon sehr gut auf“, versichert Goiny. Der
Hafenfacharbeiter muss es wissen: Als Supervisor gehört er
zu den Spezialisten, die eine der größten Auto drehscheiben
der Welt rund um die Uhr ins Rotieren bringen. „Rund 2,2
Millionen Fahrzeuge werden hier jährlich bewegt“, erklärt
