Das GVZ Bremen war das erste deutsche Güterverkehrszentrum
und gilt auf nationaler und internationaler Ebene als Pilotprojekt
mit Modellcharakter. Die geologistische Ideallage im Zentrum der
Nordrange, das Zusammenspiel unterschiedlicher Verkehrsträger,
die Vernetzung innerhalb der GVZ-Community und die Pioniervorteile
haben wesentlich zum Erfolg des GVZ Bremen beigetragen.
Auch in aktuellen Benchmarkstudien belegt das GVZ Bremen den
Spitzenplatz. Es beheimatet auf einem Areal von circa 500 Hektar
etwa 150 Unternehmen mit mehr als 8000 Beschäftigten. Über die
Hälfte der Bremer Logistikunternehmen sind im GVZ Bremen tätig.
Die GVZ Entwicklungsgesellschaft Bremen (GVZe) ist eine neutrale
Gesellschaft und fungiert als Leistungsverbund im Interesse der im
GVZ ansässigen Unternehmen. Sie setzt sich unter anderem für
die zügige Realisierung der Autobahn 281 ein und übernimmt
die zielgerichtete Initiierung und Koordination innovativer City-
Logistikansätze als Moderator gemeinsamer Synergien. Außerdem
ist sie eine Service- und Kommunikationsplattform für
die GVZ- Unternehmen und zuständig für die Administration
praxisorien tierter Kooperationsansätze.
GVZ Bremen was Germany’s first freight village and has been a
pilot project with model character on a national and international
scale. The ideal geologistical position at the heart of Germany’s
North-range ports, the collaboration between different carriers,
net working within the freight village community and the ad -
vantages of being a pioneer have made an essential contribution
to the success of GVZ Bremen. Current benchmark studies also put
GVZ Bremen in among the leaders. It is home to about 150 com -
panies with over 8,000 employees on premises covering roughly
500 hectares. More than half of Bremen’s logistics companies
operate in GVZ Bremen.
GVZ Entwicklungsgesellschaft Bremen (GVZe) is a neutral development
agency operating on behalf of the companies based in the
freight village. Among others, it advocates swift implementation of
the A281 motorway and plays the role of facilitating joint synergies
in the targeted initiation and coordination of innovative approaches
to city logistics. It functions also as a service and communication
platform for the companies in the freight village and is responsible
for the administration of practical cooperation measures.
