The vajra song that introduces the mind as immortal:
Namo Guru!
A Sea of Blessings 107
During the day, appearance and emptiness are the deity’s body—
I realize that sickness and death do not exist.
At death, even if only the deity’s eyes appear clearly,
The pain of death will be naturally purified and the body of rapture
attained.
Even if clarity does not arise,
Previous training’s impact will continue unabated,
Like a limpid pool hit by a stone.
The bliss of the body of rapture will arise of itself;
Until existence is emptied,
Boundless benefit for others will spontaneously arise.
This song of the self-liberation of one’s own immortal mind was composed
by noble Dharma Singha [Chökyi Sengé]. To my incomparable
master Rinchen [Tsöndru, Mokchok-pa], I offered one hundred measures
of gold, thirty female yaks, and a sheepskin coat, then gained this experience.
