352 Timeless Rapture
You mastered an ocean of recollection, meditative states, and
clairvoyance
And became worthy of offerings from the three worlds’ beings,
Yet you never became arrogant—
You gladly undertook great hardships for the sake of one word of the
Teachings; to you I pray.
You set aside mundane activity, such as preserving or protecting false
teachings,
And you lived without fixation.
Like a fearless lion, you engaged in ever excellent conduct
Unrivaled in this world; to you I pray.
Every stream of the eight great chariots’ historical traditions of
meditation—
Their source texts, guidance, and pith instructions—swirled into your
mind’s ocean.
Their techniques for spiritual maturity and liberation passed through
you
To revitalize the doctrine; to you I pray.
You gave your disciples appropriate antidotes impartially
From among the great chariots of Shakyamuni’s entire doctrine.
Without bias, you became the crown jewel
Of every school of philosophy; to you I pray.
Your enlightened activity was done only for others’ good.
Any connection with you was meaningful; you displayed many
wonderful signs.
You produced an inconceivably great cultivation of merit—
Lord of awakening’s tenth stage, to you I pray.
The master from Oddiyana and his consort,
Venerable Vimalamitra, religious kings, their ancestors and
descendants, [Guru] Chöwang, omniscient [Longchenpa],
And other spiritual masters from many lineages and the exalted
deities
Granted you their blessings and accomplishment; to you I pray.
