370 Timeless Rapture
During your familiarization practice of the deity, you tamed gyalgong
and damsi spirits.
Tara foretold that you would emerge victorious over obstructors’
attacks.
You met assemblies of buddhas, bodhisattvas, and exalted elders
And made positive aspirations; to you I pray.
From the age of twenty-five, you abandoned home life
And wandered as a renunciant, content with whatever came your way.
You dedicated to the Teachings all offerings made to you in faith or
for the dead.
King of renunciants, to you I pray.
In harmony with all, you had no attachment to anyone.
You cared equally with compassion for friends, foes, and neutral
persons.
Unattached to sensual pleasures, you enjoyed them as vajra feast
offerings.
King of tantric adepts, to you I pray.
You renounced harmful acts and their basis and restrained your own
mind.
You were forever diligent in helping others, motivated by the mind
of awakening.
You perfected your integration of tantric meditation’s two phases.
Vajra holder endowed with the threefold discipline, to you I pray.
Many holy masters said you were definitely a reincarnation
Of such masters as Lodrö Tayé
And Jamgon Benza Ratna.
Transcendent victors’ holy heir, to you I pray.
With myriad skillful means, such as recitation of profound formulas
and names of buddhas,
And sacred substances, as described in the Canon and Treasures,
You placed many millions of beings, such as fish, flies, and ants,
On the path to freedom; to you I pray.
