You gained comprehension of the discourses’ and tantras’ precise
intent
And became unrivaled throughout existence’s three realms
In explanation, debate, and composition.
Ocean of qualities, I bow my head to you.
You mastered an ocean of tantras
And understood precisely and without confusion
The interpretations of a million learned and accomplished masters
From Land of the Exalted and the Himalayan Range’s enclosure; I
bow my head to you.
You manifestly attained the illusionlike meditative state
And defeated hindrances and obstacles
During nighttime’s dreams.
You then actualized the profound meaning of emptiness; I bow my
head to you.
Spiritual masters including Venerable Buddhagupta
Gave you the essential elixir
Of India’s learned and accomplished masters’ oral transmissions.
Chief of seas of extraordinary profound meaning, I bow my head to you.
You were directly linked during an infinite series of past lives
To the original protector, the supreme vajra master,
Who epitomized all lineages, your root spiritual master,
With whom you inseparably merged; I bow my head to you.
When he gave you the ultimate instructions,
You directly saw the primordial, abiding nature as intrinsic
coemergence,
And all phenomena’s essence as the body of ultimate enlightenment.
Lord protector of existence and quiescence, I bow my head to you.
You taught the infinitely vast and profound sacred Teachings
And attained the ultimate lineage, the single essence of all.
You perfected the phase of completion’s deep wisdom.
Original king of great bliss, I bow my head to you.
