The Essence of Ambrosia, oral profound instruction related to the stages
of the path of the glorious Shangpa Golden Doctrines:
Namo Guru Vé
In the expanse, space of the unborn,
The sacred circle of unbound radiance spreads,
Emitting a hundred lights of enlightened compassion—
Spiritual father, Buddha Vajra Bearer, to you I bow.
Lord, from your compassion’s clouds,
A steady rain of oral instruction
Pours on the field of my mind
And nourishes a harvest of fruit—meditative experience and
realization.
If you are fortunate [disciples], take this fruit from me.
The great, glorious one known as Buddha Vajra Bearer
Enounced infinite numbers of tantras, among which five constitute
the essence.
The one direct path that gathers many profound instructions
Is known by the name Six Doctrines of Niguma.
That essence of sure and secret ambrosia,
All mother dakinis’ secret words,
Is nectar flowing from the mouth of my spiritual father, my master.
