Following this, Kyungpo Naljor again carried five hundred measures of
gold to western India and asked, “What spiritual master has actually seen
the Buddha?” Thirteen accomplished masters, including Pandit Lalitavajra,
Aryadéva, and Dakini Sumati told him, “We’ll first give you empowerment
and profound instruction, then we’ll give you our prophecy.”
Kyungpo Naljor offered them five hundred measures of gold and received
many empowerments and teachings. Then they said, “The wisdom dakini
known as Sukasiddhi is the root master of ten of us. In particular, she
taught Aryadéva the inner practice of Buddha Selfless One: in seven
months, he reached the realization of awakening’s eighth stage. She
received instruction directly from Buddha Vajra Bearer and Buddha Selfless
One. She will bless you and teach you her profound instructions,”
they predicted.
“Where is she?” he asked.
“If your vision is pure, you can see that dakini anywhere. If your vision
is impure, you’ll never see her wherever you look. Sometimes you might
find her at the place that brings happiness, known as Medicinal Sandalwood
Grove. On the tenth day of the lunar month, she teaches by leading
dakinis’ vajra feasts, and sometimes she teaches through words. Go
there and pray to her. She’ll give you the full four empowerments as well
as all her profound instructions and subsequent guidance.”
