Timeless Rapture: Inspired Verse from the Shangpa Masters

The Shangpa Masters and Their Lineage 317
And the dakini protected you as her child; to you I pray.
Mitra-yogi gave you the three essential points;
Lekden Jé bestowed an empowerment with symbolic instruction.
Protectors such as Powerful Stealer of Strength and Son of the
Renowned One
Acted as your servants; to you I pray.
Any appearance arose for you as the play of illusion.
Without dualistic clinging, your self-manifest, uncontrived mind, free
from attachment,
Remained like the carefree behavior of a small child,
Yet all your acts were meaningful; to you I pray.
“To see me, hear me, bring me to mind, or be touched by me makes
beings leave the miserable existences;
I am a person with whom any connection is significant!”
Such was the promise you made in your truthful vajra speech.
Lord protector of many beings, to you I pray.
You collected every stream of meditation teaching in the Himalayas
And you imparted Niguma’s teachings more than one hundred times.
These deeds illustrate your altruistic acts that filled the bounds of
space.
You then left for the celestial city; to you I pray.
You returned to Land of the Exalted, Tibet, Oddiyana, Damido,
And many other places, in many manifestations attuned to others’
needs,
To purify the realms of your disciples,
And to attain unsurpassable awakening; to you I pray.
In all lifetimes, may you, Spiritual Hero of Accomplishment,
accept me.
May the wheel of inexhaustible ornaments of my three mysteries
Display a cloud-ocean of infinite lifetimes of freedom,
To perform acts equal, noble master, to yours.
