A Supplication to One’s Lama
The myriad forms and appearances, interdependent yet unobstructed,
Arise in the outer world as my symbolic teachers;
Indescribable is the harmonious dance of magic.
From this state, experiencing the natural freedom of visible space, I
supplicate you:
Bless me with the fulfillment of Nirmanakaya,
Enlightenment manifesting skillfully in the world of form.
The varied sounds and voices, unimpeded from cause and condition,
Arise to my senses as mantra, my audible companions;
Inconceivable is the symphony of melody and song.
From this state, experiencing the natural freedom of audible silence, I
supplicate you:
Bless me with the unfolding of Sambhogakaya, enlightenment free
from limitation.
The panorama of thoughts in the unutterable expanse of awareness
Arise in my own mind as my intuitive guide;
Vast and pervasive is the display of thought and memory.
From this state, blissful and luminous and open, I supplicate you:
Bless me that I may realize Dharmakaya, enlightenment pure and
simple.
