Timeless Rapture: Inspired Verse from the Shangpa Masters

The precious Oral Instruction Lineage considers the singing of
vajra songs to be extremely important. However, since this historical
tradition of the Shangpa Instruction Lineage has not spread widely,
texts of its accomplished masters’ songs have become as rare as daytime
stars. Therefore, I gathered these songs mainly from the masters’ life stories
and supplemented them with some songs, as appropriate, from recent
lineage holders. Thus the sublime essence of ambrosia from the entire lineage’s
profound doctrines now swirls within the golden receptacle of my
virtue from previous lifetimes.
Karma Ngawang Yönten Gyatso Lodrö Tayé composed this text in the
secluded retreat of Dévikotri at Tsadra Rinchen Drak. May this work cause
the historical tradition of the glorious Shangpa Instruction Lineage to
spread and increase in all times and directions.
