Timeless Rapture: Inspired Verse from the Shangpa Masters

68 Timeless Rapture
Anyone with a pure karmic connection [to this teaching],
Who energetically practices it single-mindedly, without distraction,
And who keeps the vows, will definitely attain [these results].
Your own body constitutes the path of means;
The other’s body, the seal of activity.
This sublime, vital instruction for integrating pleasure on the path
Comes through a sublime lineage:
The exalted master Nagarjuna,
Foretold by Buddha;
The one known as Kampala,
Who attained accomplishment by relying on luminosity;
Great Kukuripa,
Who manifested his consorts in the form of dogs;
The one known as Luyipa,
Who gained accomplishment by eating fish entrails;
And the one blessed by the high deities,
Illustrious Harikéla.
Dombipa, Kusulu,
And Mahavajra
Gathered the successive lineages through these masters.
The lineage came to me
Through these masters: the one known as Shri Jnana,
Vairochana Raksheeta,
The adept known as Sumati,
Tathagata Raksheeta,
Amoghani-vajra,
And illustrious Dorjé Denpa.
Then, from the noble masters Shri Jnana, Vairochana Raksheeta, and
Dakini Kanakashri, Kyungpo Naljor received an uncountable number of
teachings on the discourses, the path of characteristics, as well as on the
