Timeless Rapture: Inspired Verse from the Shangpa Masters

You need decisive certitude [in the basis].
Whatever appears is the body of ultimate enlightenment.
In this, it is said that you should not make biased distinctions.
However, such false “pure vision” can lead you astray:
Preserve your spiritual master’s lineage!
One time, when Taranata was staying at Yoru in Tsang, all appearances
arose as teachers to introduce the nature of mind. He then sang this vajra
song:
Om Svasti!
At this time of flowers during the Ox year
Here in Yoru, a land where what is auspicious increases,
I, an adept free from bias, recall in my heart
My noble spiritual master’s kindness.

Previously, from time immemorial, I did not find freedom;
Until now, I wandered along the wheel of life.
Here, where existence has no bounds nor limits in depth,
You are the precious one who sends sentient beings to enlightenment.
My parents of the six realms are kind,
But there isn’t one of them who helps me reject life’s circle.
