78 Timeless Rapture
He gave them this and other teachings. As a result, after eleven months,
Rongpo Géshé saw the deity’s face and realized appearances’ lack of reality.
Kyungpo Naljor became aware that his attendant Rinchen Dorjé had
slipped into slight wrong views, thinking that his master was an ordinary,
self-centered individual. Kyungpo Naljor had him meditate for seven days
on [Vajrasattva’s] hundred-syllable mantra and on the Purifying Ah of Inner
Space. When Rinchen Dorjé returned to his master’s room, he saw
Kyungpo Naljor’s body as the thirteen-deity configuration of weapon-bearing
Vajra Creator of Delight, with circles of the Five Tantras’ Deities at his
body’s five energy centers. When Rinchen Dorjé left the room, he saw forms
of Kyungpo Naljor teaching on 108 thrones. At this sight he sang,
Your body of enlightenment is the nine deities.
The Five Tantras’ Deities stand at your body’s five centers.
On each of one hundred eight thrones
Sits one of your bodies, each perfectly captivating.
You make the Great Way beyond extremes resound
And demonstrate many manifesations in the ten directions.
Emanation from the hearts of a sea of conquerors,
Spiritual master, Buddha incarnate, you I praise.
Please keep sentient beings, who are deluded in ignorance,
On the true path.
Following this, Rinchen Dorjé never had even a moment’s wrong view
and served as an attendant who would do whatever Kyungpo Naljor asked.
