With the lamp of outer study, you resolved misunderstandings;
You brought boundless intensity to your inner transcendent
knowledge born from reflection;
In meditation without distraction, the result manifested—
You perfected diligence; to you I pray.
You were accepted by Öntön, Great Compassionate One,
Who gave you the entire single-disciple lineage of the dakinis’ secret
words.
You saw appearances, sounds, and phenomena as unreal, like
rainbows.
The experience of illusion naturally arose; to you I pray.
Vajra Creator of Delight, Vajra Sow, powerful All-Seeing One,
And Exalted Tara granted you the Teachings’ ambrosia.
In particular, Sukasiddhi introduced you to the mind’s nature.
Your realization reached the bounds of space; to you I pray.
As you ordered, Awakened Protector performed enlightened activity;
Varuna acted as your servant and subject.
Many powerful worldly gods and demons requested empowerment
And you had them enter the Teachings; to you I pray.
Day and night, illusion, lucid dreams, and the deities’ forms naturally
arose.
Within your nondual wisdom of bliss and emptiness,
Thoughts of deluded appearances completely faded—
You perfected meditation; to you I pray.
Heeding [the Guru] Black One of the Charnel Ground’s command,
Latö-pa traveled with miraculous powers from Land of the Exalted.
You received the exercises of immortality
And demonstrated freeing your secret hindrance into the absolute
expanse; to you I pray.
Obeying your master’s command, you lived as a hidden adept
At Rigong retreat, where you accepted fortunate disciples
