162 Timeless Rapture
This is the essential meaning of the instructions on Illusory Body.
I also practiced this:
I purified desire and anger’s appearances in their own ground.
The knotted snake of my firm belief in reality’s solidity has uncoiled.
Destroy your belief in reality as solid, I beseech you.
Based on the vital instructions for immediate directed intent and
transformation,
[To see reality as] the impartial radiance of awareness’s own display
Liberates the bonds of clinging to it as substantial.
In this, training without set patterns is the key point.
This is called the instruction in Lucid Dream,
Useful for all those who practice Illusory Body.
Gaze at the basis, your own primordial, enlightened face,
With the contributory condition of intense devotion
And the auspicious connection created by the vital instruction
That joins the mind and circulating energy.
The mind’s vajra nature, great luminosity,
Is engendered with effort during the day
And arises by itself at night in the appearance of clarity.
From clarity, emptiness arises—
This is called clear light of inseparable clarity and emptiness.
By blending the bliss of melting with the innate state,
The experience of bliss alone is purified in itself;
This is called clear light of inseparable bliss and emptiness.
In the primordially pure nature of mind,
The two obscurations’ false pretense vanishes.
This is clear light endowed with two purities.
In the presence of Lord Buddha Vajra Bearer,
I requested instruction and resolved my doubts in this,
The path’s result, Clear Light.
Having received the instructions, I didn’t leave it at that:
I cultivated their experience, blending it with my own mind.
My vague concepts of meditative experience were purified
And I gained the eternal land of unchanging realization.
You too should single-mindedly meditate upon Clear Light.
