74 Timeless Rapture
unborn nature. A group of dakinis surrounded her; she sat in the center
of rainbow light. When he saw her, Kyungpo Naljor’s hair stood on end
and his eyes filled with tears. Joy like that of awakening’s first stage arose
within him, and he had an experience of uncontaminated bliss.
He threw many flowers to her, such as blue lotuses, lotuses, and water
lilies; he offered her many hundreds and thousands of prostrations and
circumambulations, and asked for her teachings. The dakini replied with
this song:
Virupa, Buddha Selfless One,
And Buddha Vajra Bearer gave me direct instruction
In tantra’s manifest path—
The four empowerments that bring maturity
And creation and completion’s phases that liberate.
This you ask me to teach, offering rare gems and gold powder,
Joining your palms in respect, extending your body in prostration,
And placing my lowly foot on the crown of your head.
Now I will free you.
What you’ll receive today is the very best.
Child of enlightenment, you’re amazing!
Child of enlightenment, you’re amazing!
Child of enlightenment, you’re amazing!
I will manifestly bless your disciples,
Their disciples,
And all your lineage holders of future generations.
They will go to the pure celestial realms.

circle, then taught the secret practice of the circle of emanation at the
navel, its creation and completion phase meditations, along with every
vital instruction.
Kyungpo Naljor comments, “This was wisdom dakini Sukasiddhi’s first
great kindness: she granted me the full four empowerments in an emanated
sacred circle. Her later great kindness was to become inseparable from a
goddess and to be my secret consort. Her final great kindness was to give
