And devotion toward the spiritual masters with whom you had a
connection through empowerments and teachings that brought
you to spiritual maturity and liberation.
Your compassion and devotion moved you to tears; to you I pray.
At thirteen, you renounced home life and entered the doctrine.
At fifteen, in the midst of an assembly during the summer rains’ retreat,
You fearlessly and confidently explained the three levels of vows
With a clear intellect and captivating mental power; to you I pray.
At sixteen, you entered a three-year meditation retreat
At the large retreat center founded by Kyungpo incarnate,
Lama Jamgon Kongtrul, whose life was foretold by the Transcendent
Victor.
You were imbued with limitless faith and diligence; to you I pray.
During that time, in the presence of the noble spiritual master
Norbu Döndrub,
Who reached the limits of meditative experience and realization,
You received infinite numbers of instructions for spiritual maturity,
liberation, and support, from both New and Ancient traditions,
And especially the great accomplished master Kyungpo’s Golden
Doctrines,
As if the contents from one vase were poured into another; to you
I pray.
You relied on many other learned and accomplished masters,
And you applied yourself diligently to listening, reflection, and
meditation
On their infinite cycles of instruction in discourses, tantras, and the
profound teachings from New and Ancient traditions.
You became a heart disciple of them all; to you I pray.
In your dreams, you met noble Lama Jamgon Kongtrul,
Who bestowed upon you the full four empowerments—
You became Lotus-Born Master and brought gods and demons
under your control.
The tenma goddesses offered you their songs; to you I pray.
