Timeless Rapture: Inspired Verse from the Shangpa Masters

Namo Guru!
When singing supplications of yearning
In devotion without a trace of doubt
To your father spiritual master, Buddha of the three times,
Settle in the oneness of his mind and yours.
In continual love and compassion
For your mothers, all sentient beings of the six kinds,
Live life with all thoughts and deeds turned toward others’ good.
Always meditate on the mind of awakening’s two aspects.
All appearing existence, primordially pure,
Is eternally existent sacred form, mantra, and wisdom, inseparable.
Make realization of this your contemplative practice.
Dwell only within infinite purity.
These three—devotion, pure vision, and the mind of awakening—
Are the path of contemplative practice’s essence.
Adepts imbued with all three
Never leave Great Seal.
The basis—two truths as one—Great Seal.
The path—two accumulations as one—Great Seal.
The result—enlightenment’s two bodies as one—Great Seal.
May you quickly realize integral union—Great Seal.
