176 Timeless Rapture Is not something I have seen, yet this vajra melody arises of itself And flows now in streams of profound joy. These masters fully realized and mastered the vital instructions Of the definitive meaning—the vajra body’s abiding nature. They developed the wisdom of bliss and emptiness And, having seen it, taught the path of means, the profound phase of completion. [The vajra body’s] framework is the channels; its movement, circulating energy; Its vital essence, the supreme mind of awakening. These three, throughout a complete dance of formation, abiding, and destruction, Remain as natural great wisdom’s supports. All knots in the three channels and the four energy centers Are the three syllables 22 —skillful means, transcendent knowledge, and neuter. The circulating energies are vitality, effort, and equanimity. The vital essence is the bliss and emptiness of embrace and union. These three groups, in stages, naturally produce bliss, clarity, and absence of thought And accomplish an auspicious connection to enlightenment’s three bodies. The channels’ path is to become endowed with vajra qualities; The channels’ vital instruction is constraint by means of physical exercises. Circulating energy’s path is to hold vital energy in the vase; Circulating energy’s supreme vital instruction is four-part breathing. The vital essences’ path is the running chase of melting and bliss from Ah and Ham; The vital essences’ vital instruction is binding at the four energy centers.
