Timeless Rapture: Inspired Verse from the Shangpa Masters

By this virtue, may I and others, all incarnate beings,
And chiefly those with whom I have a connection, be immediately
free from obscurations.
May the supreme mind of awakening’s two aspects
Arise effortlessly in our minds, and may our enlightened nature manifest.
May we fully achieve the accomplished masters’ lives of freedom
And then take miraculous birth in a lotus in Blissful Pure Land.
May we receive Buddha Boundless Light’s supreme prediction [of our
complete enlightenment],
Quickly traverse awakening’s paths and stages, and with limitless
enlightened activity
Place all sentient beings, whose numbers reach the bounds of space,
in the state of awakening.
May we become similar to the perfect Victor Limitless Light.
By the immense intention and powerful aspirations
Of the spiritual masters and the victors and their heirs,
May the prayers made here be blessed with fruition.
The aspiration prayer to dedicate this edition has been written in verses
equal in number to the auspicious signs [eight]. The writer who had this
positive intention is the kusali [renunciant], Lodrö Tayé.
May virtue increase!
