368 Timeless Rapture
You enjoy the splendor of having reached the goal for yourself and
others—
Rangjung Kunchab, at your feet I bow.
After he attained the state of accomplishment based on the Shangpa
Doctrines,
The illustrious and excellent reincarnate master took rebirth
intentionally
As the tantric practitioner Lekshé Drayang.
You clearly saw him and his wife as your parents; to you I pray.
After your parents’ diligent meditation during a tenth lunar-day
festival of offering,
They dreamed that the noble master Jamgon Kongtrul
Said, “I must borrow this space” and dissolved into them.
The male and female masters from Oddiyana visibly appeared
And you entered the womb; to you I pray.
During your mother’s pregnancy, her health was excellent
And she saw continual, amazing signs concerning her future child.
Within a rain of flowers on the roof and a tent of rainbow light,
Your body was born straight; to you I pray.
At birth, you had a glowing smile
And you spoke—your parents were overjoyed.
Everyone showered you with praises
And you became known as an amazing manifestation of
enlightenment; to you I pray.
During your childhood, your virtuous habits awoke.
You were naturally intent upon renouncing this life
To live in isolated caves in the mountains,
Caring only for meditation; to you I pray.
Due to your past habits’ innate power,
You felt compassion toward sentient beings’ suffering in destitution or
harmful circumstances
