66 Timeless Rapture
And ask him to be your preceptor for full monastic
ordination.
Here in the central region of the supreme sacred place,
Maghada’s Vajra Seat,
And in other places,
I will give as you have requested,
Any instruction that you wish in monastic discipline,
The transcendent perfections, and tantra.
Having said this, Dorjé Denpa acted as preceptor for Kyungpo Naljor’s
novice monk ordination. After he gave [him the monastic] name Tsultrim
Gönpo, Lama Dorjé Denpa’s nose bled, [a sign that] Kyungpo Naljor
could not change his name. At that time, the master exclaimed, “Kyungpo
Yogi Maha Pala Pala!” [“Kyungpo Naljor, you have gained the great
result!”]
Dorjé Denpa first gave him the transmission of the Collection on
Monastic Discipline [vinaya] and [Gunaprabha’s] treatise of The Main
Discourse on Discipline. He followed this with a gradual transmission of the
discourses and tantras’ major texts and instructions. His teaching that was
outstanding compared to all others was based on the root explanatory
tantra Ocean of Jewels—the empowerment and teachings for meditation on
the Five Tantras’ Deities in a single sacred circle. Here is [Kyungpo Naljor’s
