Several of the Achieving the Dream gatekeeper course action plans have a focus on improving
student performance in online classes. History 1301 faculty based their online course redesign
on a successful University of North Texas project that includes gaming and a free text
embedded in the course. Accounting 2301 faculty introduced interactive learning modules
and a new textbook for online classes. Since Richland will continue participation in Achieving
the Dream, leadership raised the target for both measures to 71.50 for 2011-12.
