The BTM data were derived fromsatellite images that were captured from 1990 to 1997.A3.3 British Columbia Envir<strong>on</strong>mental M<strong>on</strong>itoring System (EMS)The EMS database houses envir<strong>on</strong>mental data collected by the B.C. Ministry <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g>Envir<strong>on</strong>ment. The database was accessed to compile informati<strong>on</strong> <strong>on</strong> water qualitystati<strong>on</strong>s that are applicable to the assessment <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> sockeye salm<strong>on</strong> exposure toc<strong>on</strong>taminants. The water quality stati<strong>on</strong>s in each area <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> interest and in the <strong>Fraser</strong><strong>River</strong> mainstem and its major tributaries were identified using multiple sources:1. Keyword (i.e., area <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> interest names) searches for water quality stati<strong>on</strong>susing the EMS Web Reporting applicati<strong>on</strong>;2. Water quality stati<strong>on</strong>s identified as part <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> the Federal-Provincial WaterQuality M<strong>on</strong>itoring Program;3. BCMOE Water Quality Objectives Reports developed between 1985 and2009;A-19
