Restrictions on theinsertion and deletion of curriculum data should now be written against these newtables and not against SRBRECR, SARADAP, and SGASTDN. Also starting withBanner 7.0, curriculum data can no longer be updated. The process used to changedata includes copying the curriculum record using the key insert/key duplicate andmaking changes to the new record. If the user wishes to restrict selection against SRBRECR, SARADAP, and SGASTDNbased on the primary or secondary curriculum, they can continue to use thosetables’ curriculum columns in building selection, updating, and deletion rulesagainst those tables. The primary and secondary curriculum data are now backfilledfrom SORLCUR and SORLFOS to SARADAP, SRBRECR, and SGASTDN after allinserts have occurred. If selection restrictions are built using the SRBRECR, SARADAP, and SGASTDNcurriculum data columns, an alternative check needs to be added for the data to benull. The Curriculum API validates the existence of the host record before allowingan insert. For example, you cannot insert an application module curriculum if theapplication does not exist. The application will appear to not exist if the rule is onlyfor non-null values.Restriction Mode Columns Used in Restrictions Column DescriptionInsert, Delete SORLCUR_LMOD_CODE Learner module code for the curriculumInsert, Delete SORLCUR_TERM_CODE Term code for the curriculumInsert, Delete SORLCUR_LEVL_CODE Level code for the curriculumInsert, Delete SORLCUR_COLL_CODE College code for the curriculumInsert, Delete SORLCUR_DEGC_CODE Degree code for the curriculumInsert, Delete SORLCUR_TERM_CODE_CTLG Catalog term code for the learner curriculumInsert, Delete SORLCUR_ADMT_CODE Admit code for the learner’s admission to the curriculumInsert, Delete SORLCUR_CAMP_CODE Campus code for the curriculumInsert, Delete SORLCUR_PROGRAM Program code for the curriculumStudent Release 7.0 January 2005120 Release Guide Confidential
