Section 3 Concurrent Curricula Phase I - FunctionalCurriculum APIRecruitingWhen a new row is inserted in SORLCUR:• The learner module code is automatically set to RECRUIT.• The key sequence number is set to the same number as the administrativesequence number of the recruiting record.• The activity status is set to Active.When a new row is inserted in SORLFOS:• If the insert is automatic (i.e., via Prospects Self-Service or tape load), theactivity status is populated with a status of ACTIVE, and the curriculum status ispopulated with a status of PENDING.• If the insert is manual, the activity status is populated with a status of ACTIVE,and the curriculum status is populated with a status of PENDING. However, youcan change these values before saving the record.When a row is to be changed in SORLCUR and/or SORLFOS:• To inactivate an existing SORLCUR record and add a new one, select theSORLCUR row to be inactivated, and select the Change Curriculum button.This will automatically duplicate and inactivate the selected row, and a new rowwill be inserted for the user to enter curriculum data.• To inactivate or change an existing SORLCUR or SORLFOS row, select the rowto be inactivated or changed. Perform an Insert Record function and then aDuplicate Record function. If an SORLCUR row is duplicated, all of itscorresponding SORLFOS rows are duplicated as well. All the fields from theselected row are duplicated, except for the activity and curriculum statuses.These two fields are made NULL. You can then modify the row with theappropriate curriculum and activity status codes.In the example below, the user wants to change the English major to an Art major.The user selects the active SORLFOS English row, performs an Insert Record andthen a Duplicate Record. The activity and curriculum status fields on the newlyduplicated row will be NULL. The user can set the activity status to INACTIVE andthe curriculum status to CHANGED to indicate that the record was inactivated dueto a major change.
