Components of the interface aredescribed in this section.Note: Information about how SunGard SCT implemented the 7.0 userinterface changes is contained in the 7.0 UI Methodology Handbook.Overall Changes to Form LayoutMany changes have been made to improve the usability of Banner forms. Improvedalignment of screen elements, including the Key Block, Description fields, and fieldlabels, enhances overall readability. More code is visible for all Code, ID, and SSN/SIN/TIN fields as a result of field expansion, and all elements are grouped logicallyon the form. Block headings are labeled consistently. Labels, checkboxes, and radiobuttons are now easier to read and select. Called forms have been positioned todisplay more of the calling form, when appropriate.Buttons were enhanced as well. At the top of a column for fields that have both alabel and a button, the label now always appears on top of the button. Additionally,buttons have “tool tips” that pop up when the mouse is on top of them.Navigation between forms was also improved. When in the Go To field on theGeneral Menu (GUAGMNU), the Up and Down arrow keys enable you to navigateto recently accessed forms. Choose the Display Navigation Window key (F5) fromany form to quickly navigate to any other form.Note: The Display Navigation Window key does not work in query mode.January 2005 Student Release 7.0Confidential Release Guide 19
