Section 10 APIs - TechnicalAPIs Used in Banner StudentThe Original Charge Cutoff Date value must fall between the start and end datespecified for the term code.The majority of these indicators are set to Y to turn themon and N to turn them off. An exception to the indicators is registration errorchecking. A select group of the registration error checks allow either a fatal (F) orno check (N) setting. A different group allows a warning (W) in addition to fatal andno check.An update to the base term record is restricted in a specific circumstance.The CRN Starting Sequence Number (the one-up number) can never be updatedto a lower value. This is because the CRN Starting Sequence Number value is usedto generate a unique CRN for new course sections as they are added for the termeither online or through the process of rolling sections from an existing term to anew term.A base term record cannot be deleted if course sections have been created for theterm. If no sections exist, all part-of-term records must be deleted before the termcontrol itself can be deleted.When a new base term record is created, a part-of-term one record must also becreated (on the SOBPTRM table). To facilitate this rule, the create signature is notexposed for this business entity. A new base term record must be created. Any callto the create signature will return an error message.
