Section 3 Concurrent Curricula Phase I - FunctionalNew Curriculum Window and BlocksYou can perform a query to select only the most current records for each priority forthe ID in either the Curriculum or Field of Study blocks by entering Y in the Currentfield. You can enter N to see records that are not current. You can also select allrecords by leaving the Current field blank.You can insert and delete records in this window. You cannot update existingrecords, as the history of the curriculum and field of study data needs to bepreserved. If you wish to change data in a curriculum record, you must either usethe Change Curriculum button or duplicate the existing row and make the changeon the new row. For example, to deactivate a record, use Duplicate Record toduplicate the row to be inactivated. On the duplicated row, change the activitystatus, and if applicable, the curriculum status, to INACTIVE. Then use thecurriculum status to identify why the record is being deactivated. Insert the new rowthat you want to be active, and save the changes.The processing for the window ensures that all corresponding data elements permodule that were made nullable in the SRBRECR, SARADAP, SGBSTDN, andSHRDGMR tables are entered for <strong>7.0</strong>.You can use the Options Menu on the forms with curriculum data to accessSOILCUR and view curriculum information for all modules.Field Display for Curriculum WindowThe fields displayed in the Curriculum window will vary, depending on the modulecalling the window.• Recruiting: All data fields are displayed except Create Learner Outcome,Admission Type, Admission Term, Matriculated Term, End Term, and Module.• Admissions: All data fields are displayed except Create Learner Outcome,Admission Type, Admission Term, Matriculated Term, End Term, and Module.• Learner: All data fields are displayed including Create Learner Outcome,Admission Type, Admission Term, Matriculated Term, and End Term, andModule.• Outcome: All data fields are displayed except Create Learner Outcome,Admission Type, Admission Term, Matriculated Term, and End Term, andModule.Sort Order for Curriculum WindowRecords in the Curriculum window can be sorted by current or not current,depending on the setting of the Current field, which indicates if the curriculum isthe most current for the priority (Y) or is not the most current (N).The default for the Curriculum window is to display all curriculum records for thegiven ID, term, and key sequence number.January 2005 <strong>Student</strong> <strong>Release</strong> <strong>7.0</strong>Confidential <strong>Release</strong> <strong>Guide</strong> 85
