You might need toadd one or more external power supplies for thenumber of keypads you want to use. See Figure 9 toconnect an external power supply to a keypad.Do not tie the black (-) output to earthground when using an external powersupply. A ground fault condition is reportedif black (-) is grounded.You can use either one of the Aux Power (-) terminalswhen connecting to the control panel.Figure 9 shows the common from the external powersupply connected to both the keypad’s commonterminal and the control panel’s Aux Power (-)terminal.Figure 9: Keypad to Control Panel Wiring(External Power Supply)23 45 62.2.4 Keyswitch OverviewYou can connect a maintained or momentary contactarming device to arm or disarm any of the areas in thesystem. The keyswitch is connected to an on-board oroff-board zone’s sensor loop.The control panel offers a wide variety of keyswitcharming options. The default keyswitch configuration istamper-wired. See “Controlled Keyswitch Types” in“Zone Function Configuration” in the DS7200V2Expert Programming Guide (P/N: 4998153891) foralternative keyswitch configurations.Outputs can be programmed to activate LEDs, soundalarm outputs, or activate strobes to indicate armingstatus for keyswitch arming stations.
